I’m happy to say that I am 74.8% certain we’ll see her again before season 3 ends. As for when that’ll be – you, again, have to watch to see! Some exciting news was reported by TV Line today, "White Collar" is adding Hilarie Burton as a series regular for season three on the USA Network hit. Hilarie Burton has a cult following from her role on "One Tree Hill" as Peyton Sawyer who married Lucas Scott (Chad Michael Murray).

A few weeks ago when Brooke Davis (Sophia Bush) finally got married, fans were rabid in their requests for Burton and Murray to show up for the wedding but alas the pair have moved on.

Hillarie Burton has to date appeared in three episodes of White Collar and the on screen chemistry between her character Sara Ellis and Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer) was perfect for the show.

The first clue that she was on the show to stay was when Mozzie (Willie Garson) noticed that she had a dark side. Neal couldn't be with anyone too perfect, he needs someone brilliant, gutsy and beautiful and Burtons character is all of those things.

Burton shared how different her two TV jobs have been. On "One Tree Hill" poor Peyton Sawyer was always in the midst of some emotional upheaval and was always crying or being chased by stalkers “If you want to see me having a good time and being, you know, clever and quick-witted, this is the place to do it,” she said about her role as insurance investigator Sara Ellis. TV Review: White Collar's Maturation

I wish I had been more up on USA's White Collar return. Two weeks ago, in the mid-season finale, Peter (Tim DeKay) was framed for a crime, and had to get all of his friends to help him clear his good name in an Ocean's Eleven inspired way. The team included returning guest star Hilarie Burton as Sara. Then, last week, Peter probed Neal (Matthew Bomer) for information on new villain Adler (Andrew McCarthy), and as Neal told his story, we were treated to flashbacks of all the main characters in their younger days. Alas, having just watched both a couple of days ago, it felt too late to review them.
Instead, this week I'm left covering a standard, stand-alone episode. But I can't say that's necessarily a bad thing. I prefer the episodes that play more to the series' mythology, but a stand alone is sometimes a better representation of the show as a whole. Plus, last night's entry, titled "What Happens in Burma", was a fine representation of where the show currently is and where the growth has occurred, as well as an enjoyable hour.

For most of season one, I got the feeling that Peter Burke never really trusted Neal Caffrey. This feeling continued into the first part of season two, but has been slowly changing from a partnership forged in necessity to something more. Best friends, even. Bromance. Peter's willingness to help Neal engage in not-quite-legal activities to allow justice to be served shows how deep their friendship has become. And Peter actually trusts Neal, allowing him to go down that road, but not worrying that Neal is turning back to his life of crime. To the same extent, Neal has recently been showing a willingness to go to Peter first, rather than trust his illegitimate instincts. Neal doesn't cross that line any more unless he has a very good reason.

Sorry, Peyton fans - Hilarie Burton has confirmed that she won't be returning to "One Tree Hill" to revive the character for Brooke's wedding or for the season finale (which will likely be the series finale).

Burton, who is currently on "White Collar," which shoots in New York, says she doesn't really have room in her life for a trip to North Carolina. "Unfortunately it gets to a point where your personal life doesn't necessarily allow a whole lot of room anymore for just jumping on a plane and going wherever," she said on a press conference call for "White Collar."In case you didn't know, Burton and boyfriend Jeffrey Dean Morgan (of "Grey's Anatomy" and "Supernatural" fame) welcomed their first child in early 2010.

Burton stresses that there's no bad blood between her and the "One Tree Hill" cast and crew. "I have such a fondness for that period in my life, and I love all the people there," she says. "So while that's a place that I love and it's an experience in my life that I really love, I don't think that it's going to work out, and I still communicate with everybody back there. And I love them as a whole, but no I don't think it's going to work out. I'm sorry."

There are plenty of One Tree Hill fans that love Hilarie Burton and her OTH character of Peyton Sawyer. In a recent White Collar interview, Burton addressed the question about her returning to One Tree Hill for a finale. Unfortunately, it won’t be happening.

“Oh, man. I have such a fondness for that period in my life and I love all the people there, unfortunately it gets to a point where your personal life doesn’t necessarily allow a whole lot of room anymore for just jumping on a plane and going wherever. So while that’s a place that I love and it’s an experience in my life that I really love, I don’t think that it’s going to work out.” Burton continued that she’s still part of that world a little. “I still communicate with everybody back there. Expanding on some of the reasons why a return isn’t feasible anymore, Burton talked about how she’s trying to take new career steps while balancing her new family life. “I am going through a growing phase in my life. I went through one when I first went down to North Carolina, I went through one a couple of years before my run on One Tree Hill ended, and I’m going through one now where I’m starting to look at what do I want out of the next five years of my life? I think I’m really, really happy with my personal life, that—everything there is sewn up and I’m very happy in that.

“So now, you know I’ve got a job that works perfect with my personal life. It’s in a place that I love and it’s with people that I really, really like. And so I’m going to ride this train as long as I can.”

n part one of "Hilarie Burton Discusses Her Latest Role on USA’s White Collar," Burton talked about her character Sara Ellis in great detail, as well as what she thinks of her leading man, Matt Bomer.

In part two, Burton continues her love-fest for her co-workers, whether or not she has plans to return to One Tree Hill, and advice for those wanting trying to make it as an actor in New York.

Being the new kid on set can be hard, but Burton said during the call that her female cast-mates (Tiffani Thiessen, Marsha Thomason, and Gloria Votsis) welcomed her with open arms. “The females on the show are the warmest most graceful inclusive women. Anytime you’re the new kid walking into a situation you have no idea what’s going to happen once you get there, and Tiffani and Marsha, and Gloria, they were so kind and so warm, so I might be a little bit biased. I think that they can’t do anything wrong. They’re incredible,” she said.

“Tiffani and I both have babies, and when I met her and she was like 'Let’s have play dates.' And our kids met and, and she brings her husband to work and she’s so proud of what she has accomplished at home. It’s not about what she’s accomplished at work; it’s about what she’s created in her private life.”

Burton said that she enjoys working with family-oriented people, because they are helping her balance out her work life and her home life. She feels that her fellow cast-mates have “really figured out how to exist in this industry wholesomely.” She also discussed the leadership that is shown by Matt Bomer and Tim DeKay on the set of White Collar, and how the tone they set affects everyone else.

“They have an energy that’s infectious. One of them is in every single scene of the day, and so one of them is representing the show at all times. And the crew’s momentum, and the rest of the cast’s momentum and mood is, is largely influenced by the leaders on set. And Matt and Tim and such positive leaders and it doesn’t matter how tired they are, Tim will work all week long, not get off work ‘til very, very late, hop on a plane and then go coach his son’s little league games.

And then fly back on Sunday and go right back to work not having slept. And I think everyone really respects that and it sets a good tone and it makes work really fun and it makes everybody want to work hard for each other. When you see someone else working that hard, it makes you want to live up to that,” she said.

There are some amazing pictures and a video for you to enjoy as well.Recently I had the amazing opportunity to participate in a Q&A interview with White Collar’s Hilarie Burton. I have been a fan of Hilarie’s for years and she was fabulous to talk to. Seriously such a joy it was chatting with her, just like talking a friend.

Q. Based on what we’ve seen so far regarding Sara do you think she is capable of being considerably more ruthless than either Peter or Neal?
A. I think what Sara has going for her is that she’s not confined by the boundaries of working for the government. She gets to be a little bit more creative in her research methods or her repo methods as opposed to the boys who have to answer to Johnny Law. So, yeah, I think she has more freedom and can use that gray area to help these guys that she’s clearly drawn to, whether it’s Peter as a mentor and friend or it’s Neal as an adversary, who is also really attractive. I think she has a lot to offer the FBI team as a whole.

Q. What elements of Sara’s character are the least like you?
A. Oh boy. I’ll tell you what, when you first read for a part they give actresses sides to audition and they rarely give you what will actually be on the show because they don’t want any spoilers put out there. So the part I originally read for was a district attorney that wasn’t making that much money so she was jealous of Neal’s very fancy lifestyle. Then I get the job, I go in and they want to dress me in the fanciest outfits and have me play a very high end character. And that’s a world that is very foreign to me. I was fortunate enough to go in there and have a really wonderful wardrobe department educate me very, very quickly about what is in fashion; what is not in fashion, and help me create that air of bravado and self-importance through one’s physical appearance.

Q. Can you talk about what it’s like working with Matt Bomer?
A. I tell you what, I’ve been very, very lucky. All the boys that I’ve had to kiss during the tenure of my career have been really wonderful and very kind. But when I went in and read for the part of Sara, Matt Bomer is in every scene of this television show and he stopped what he was doing in the middle of his work day; he had one scene off, to come upstairs where I was with the producers to do this little audition. He had already memorized the scene he wasn’t even shooting that day, it was just my audition scene so it was never going to be used on television. He was committed to my audition he made me look so good. Matt was just dazzling, approachable and open right away. I really credit him with me getting this job because the chemistry was there and that was because of the effort on his part. Once I got the job and got to work with him on a regular basis —I’ve yet to see a flaw in the man. He’s so generous, hard working, family oriented and really dedicated to all aspects of his world. He’s sets a very good example for me and I like being around people like him.

Q. What are your thoughts on exploring a romantic relationship between Sara and Neal?
A. It’s so fun. I think that’s always an awkward thing at work when, you don’t know how far to play that card or how much you should give away. And I think as we’re figuring that out as actors, it gives the writers back in L.A. something to play with, you know they see what works between us and what doesn’t. There is an element of discovery with each other, so I don’t want to say that we’re going to rush into falling in love and being together in every single episode right away, but I know that the Sara character is very curious about him, begrudgingly perhaps.

Q. What is it about Sara do you feel people can relate to the most?
A. Sara is not very relatable when you first meet her. I had the same problem on One Tree Hill. When that show first aired people were like this Peyton girl sucks. There’s no such thing as a cheerleader that’s into punk music, so I had to go through the motions there of peeling away layers until they saw the core of the person. I think the core of Sara Ellis is that she is a good person, she believes in right and wrong and she has morals. I think she genuinely cares for the people she cares for and I think you’ll see that in her friendship with Peter. I think she respects him so much. It’s hard to enter her world because she has a lot of defense mechanisms up. But once the audience does enter her world, I think she’ll be a very likable person for them.

Q. What do you think your character brings to the table that’s so different than the other female characters on the show?
A. Well, I tell you what, outside of the female characters just the females on the show are the warmest most graceful inclusive women. Anytime you’re the new kid walking into a situation you have no idea what’s going to happen once you get there and Tiffani, Marsha and Gloria, they were so kind, so warm, so I might be a little bit biased. I think that they can’t do anything wrong. They’re incredible. I think what my character brings that’s a little different is that I don’t have any tie to the FBI. Marsha’s character, Diana, works for the Bureau, Tiffani has to kind of mind her p’s and q’s because she’s an agent’s wife. I can do whatever I want. The difference between Gloria’s character and I is that she’s a criminal and I’m not. I can kind of walk both lines. I can walk into the FBI office, I can also walk into a seedy underworld, so there’s a duality in Sara that I think opens a lot of doors for the characters.

Q. What are your plans for the future with the new baby, you’ve got your own Southern Gothic production company going on, anything big happening in the next six months to a year?
A. I am going through a growing phase in my life. I went through one when I first went down to North Carolina, I went through one a couple of years before my run on One Tree Hill ended and I’m going through one now where I’m starting to look at what do I want out of the next five years of my life? I think I’m really, really happy with my personal life, everything there is sewn up and I’m very happy in that. Now I’ve got a job that works perfect with my personal life. It’s in a place that I love and it’s with people that I really like. So I’m going to ride this train as long as I can. My business partners at Southern Gothic and I still are talking. We took a break for the holidays, so we’re re-exploring things. Definitely the climate in the film industry has changed, so we have to grow with that, but there is a new television network that’s approached us about producing some stuff for them. It’s definitely a ball that’s still rolling, I just have to decide what direction I want it to roll in.

Q. Do you have any desire to get into writing and directing and more of the back end of the entertainment world?
A. Sure as I said I have my production company that I started down in Wilmington while I was still down there full-time and it’s still something I’m committed to. Clearly I’ve had a bunch of life changes in the last couple years that I can’t focus 100% on this production company, but now that I’m getting a little bit more time to myself I’m, focusing a little bit better, we’re getting the ball rolling again. Like I said before my business partner and I have been approached by a television network that would like some original scripted programming from us and we’ve got a couple reality shows that we worked on. I’ve also been taking some meetings and conference calls, so it’s all about finding the right fit. There is so much material out there I just want to make sure that if our name is attached to it, Southern Gothic Productions, that it’s something that we’re really proud of. So if we take our time getting there, and we end up with a product that we’re really proud of, I’m very good with that.

Q. After being on One Tree Hill for years, what has White Collar done for your confidence as an actress?
A. Oh man. I tell you what there is always that stigma of, “You’re never gonna work again”, I was nervous about that. I deliberately took some time off because my identity as Hilarie Burton got so wrapped up in one job. So I had already planned on taking some time off to myself to figure out what I liked to do, and make sure that I can be in a room by myself and like the person I’m sitting there with. When I did start auditioning again, White Collar was like my third or fourth audition and I remember being nervous. I didn’t know what to wear to the audition, so I wore sneakers and a skirt into the building but before I went in to go tape for it I put my high heels on and walked in the room, did the audition and it went great. Then when I left I went back in the lobby and was changing my shoes, the casting director came out and just kind of laughed at me. It was like, what are you doing? Oh, you didn’t think I was going to walk around in those, did you? So, I felt really good about getting a job quickly after I started auditioning and it’s a grown up job. It’s with people who have really figured out how to exist in this industry wholesomely. They do set a very good example for me as to how I can have everything I want, how I can have a great family and also a career that I’m proud of. I feel at home on this show. I like being there.

Q. Any possible return to One Tree Hill?
A. I have such a fondness for that period in my life. Q. If you had to give one bit of advice to actors what would that be?
A. For actors I would say you have to go where the work is. I had a really big scholarship to go to a school in Virginia when I graduated high school and everyone thought I was crazy for not taking it and going to New York. I knew what I really wanted out of my life wasn’t going to happen where I had that scholarship. I probably would have had an awesome career in something else and been very happy, but acting is what I’d wanted to do, I can never remember wanting to do anything else. You have to go where the work is, you have to meet like-minded people and you have to create your own opportunities.

Q. What’s something about you that your fans would be surprised to know?
A. Something about me? Oh, God, I’m such an open book. I guess, I’m always pretty forthcoming because I figure if I laugh at myself first then I kind of beat everybody else to it. Something they’d be surprised about me. I’m, kind of a loner. For as rowdy as I get and as much fun as I have at work, I really appreciate quiet time. There is a very quiet side of Hilarie Burton that not many people see.

I honestly didn't see this one coming. I assumed that all of the 'CMM and Hilarie departing OTH' buzz was just a part of their contract negotiations - and a bluff on their part (I mean really...what else are those 2 going to do?). However, EW's Michael Ausiello has just confirmed that both Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton will not be returning in the Fall for the show's 7th season.

From Ausiello: "Murray and Burton have been engaged in rather high-profile contract negotiations for the past several months. Ultimately, a deal couldn't be worked out and both actors will make their final appearances in next Monday's season finale. To fill the void next season, a Hill insider tells me that two new characters will be introduced. Additionally, Austin Nichols (Julian) is being promoted to a series regular.

Actress Hilarie Burton is refusing to divulge details about the baby boy she welcomed with boyfriend Jeffrey Dean Morgan earlier this year because she wants to do all she can to "protect" his privacy. The former "One Tree Hill" star, 28, began dating the "Watchmen" actor Morgan, 44, in 2009 but the private couple managed to keep the romance under wraps and tabloid reports in May revealed the pair had quietly become parents. . Show creator Mark Schwahn hopes to recruit Lucas and Peyton back for Brooke’s (Sophia Bush) wedding to Julian (Austin Nichols).

“It was the first thing that ran through my mind when Brooke and Julian got engaged. Brooke's wedding would be a really organic, kind of poignant way to bring Peyton and Lucas back. It's my hope that we'll see them at the wedding. I'm a fan of that,” Schwahn told Zap2it.

Schwahn claims the pair did not leave on bad terms, despite rumors. Busy schedules and new projects could keep them from returning, however.“There's no animosity between us and [them]. I think a lot of people think that they left on very bad terms, but that's not the case. We'd love to have them back. In the end, it'll probably come down to lawyers and agents, studio red tape, that kind of thing,” Schwahn added.

“Theoretically, it'd be weird for Brooke to have a wedding without Peyton there, but at the same time, both of them left and moved on and are at different places in their lives. We can't really expect them to drop what they're doing to come back,” Sophia Bush added about the potential return of her former co-stars.

Back when Dawson's Creek was on the air, I remember making the comment to a friend, "Do you think anyone could make a worse night time soap opera if they tried?" The answer, after watching a couple of seasons of One Tree Hill, is a resounding yes. Because the show is now going into its eighth season, I have to believe that there's something there, but watching the seventh season was like watching a bunch of Ken and Barbie dolls do the least inspired or discerning things in the dullest possible way. In an effort to spice things up, they've added a new roster of characters this season, all related to, or working with, Nathan (James Lafferty) and Haley Scott (Bethany Joy Galeotti).Since it's a contract year for Nathan, his sports agent, Clay (Robert Buckley), plays a big part in the season, moving from man-whore to love interest for Haley's sister Quinn (Shantel VanSenten), who now lives in Tree Hill with the rest of the gang. With Lucas and Peyton gone, the storylines are limited mostly to relationship drama when a woman claims to have Nathan's love child, and a flighty, Megan Fox-like actress named Alex (Jana Kramer) creates some conflict between Brooke (Sophia Bush) and her seemingly homosexual boyfriend Julian (Austin Nichols).

They really reach for heightened drama in every episode, when not tossing out the most dreadfully executed jokes ever written, which, ironically, often come off as unintentionally funny, partly because most of these people can't act ―although newcomer VanSenten seems to have some chops ― and because the writing is so unbelievably bland and heteronormative.

DVD Review: One Tree Hill Season 7

Can you believe it's been 7 years? I feel like we've almost grown up with this show. One Tree Hill has continually managed to transition and do what was needed to stay on while other similar shows met their demise.

With Season 7, we saw the introduction of a number of new characters into Tree Hill. There was Alex Dupre, an actress who becomes the face of Clothes Over Bros. Clay Evans who was Nathan Scott's agent. Quinn James who was Haley's older sister. And a number of other new faces thrown in to make the exit of Lucas and Peyton a little less noticeable. Did it work? I don't believe the series is the same without Lucas and Peyton, they were the focus of the show for so many years. It just doesn't feel the same without them.

The Complete 7th Season which was released on August 17th is packed with extras including un-aired scenes, a number of featurettes, commentary, and a gag-reel. The coolest featurette in my opinion was Spring Break with One Tree Hill, a short piece showing two contest winning fans being put to work as production assistants on the show. Lucky fans!

During an interview with Give Me My Remote, One Tree Hill creator Mark Schwann talked about what viewers could expect when OTH returns for its eighth season.

In the interview, Schwann talked about the major characters as well as an impending wedding and the patter of tiny feet this season.He also took time to address the possible return of Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton, given that fans of the show are desperate for Lucas and Peyton to feature in what is most likely the final season.

Season seven coasted on uncharted waters without stars Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton, but we'd say the show made it and our favorite couples are at it again.For those of you who don't watch, here's what you're missing: a soap opera set in Tree Hill, North Carolina. It's known for its love triangles, daddy drama, psycho killers and awesome playlists. Currently, fashionista Brooke and movie director Julian are engaged after Brooke struggled with the idea of opening her heart to him. Singer Mia and bartender Chase are broken up, but we wouldn't be surprised if there was a reunion in the works for the two. I mean, she wrote a song for him last season. That's deep. Anyway, married couple Hayley and Nathan are expecting their second child, and his agent Clay and Hayley's sister Quinn are unconscious from fatal gunshots in last season's finale. Ironically, the shooter was his psycho stalker who looks like his dead ex-wife. Prime-time drama. Gotta love it.

Actress Hilarie Burton is refusing to divulge details about the baby boy she welcomed with boyfriend Jeffrey Dean Morgan earlier this year because she wants to do all she can to "protect" his privacy.

The former "One Tree Hill" star, 28, began dating "Watchmen" star Morgan, 44, last year but the private couple managed to keep the romance under wraps and tabloid reports in May revealed the pair had quietly become parents.
Burton has now confirmed the happy news, telling the Associated Press, "(We are) really happy, and we're a very good team. And we got very lucky that our family is what it is."

But she insists on keeping the tot's name and birth date secret.

She says, "I want to protect them like a mama wolf should."

The child is Burton's first and Morgan's second - the actor discovered he was a first-time father after his actress ex Sherrie Rose revealed last year that her then four-year-old son was the result of her romance with the star.

Burton was previously married to One Tree Hill assistant director Ian Prange but the couple split in 2008.

Soon-to-be-former One Tree Hill star Hilarie Burton talks to E! Online about her imminent departure from the series, and guess what? Despite the fact that she was in contract negotiations at the time of the split, Burton claims it wasn't about the money.

"There really wasn't a lot of turmoil. It was a fabulous six-year run, which is how long my contract was for, and I feel really lucky to have been a part of the show," Burton clarifies. "So when I hear that there's turmoil or negotiations based on money it kind of hurts my feelings, because it's not what's been going on at all. I think my fan base in particular knows that money isn't necessarily a big motivator for me, that's why I work in the world of independent film."As for whether it was her decision or the show's decision for her to leave, Burton hedges a bit.

"I think everyone was kind of agreeable about the situation. There were a lot of really wonderful conversations. It wasn't a rash decision; a lot of thought, emotion, and kindness was put into it. I would hope that that's the story that gets out—that it was a bunch of adults being good to each other and being kind about the decision-making process."

The actress was not photographed in public between May 6, 2009 and April 20, 2010, when she and Morgan went public with their romance at an L.A. film premiere.

White Collar Season 2, Episode 5 “Unfinished Business”

Peter (Tim DeKay) has assigned Neal what seems to be a standard undercover operation, but once Neal is posing as a “Mr. Black,” Neal soon realizes that Mr. Black has been hired to kill someone in Brooklyn. Neal attempts to contact Peter and the other FBI agents, but the FBI equipment temporarily malfunctions due to tampering.

Neal regains contact with Peter as he enters the Park Slope apartment of who is supposed to eliminate, and Neal soon realizes that he is meant to murder Sara, who has heard an intruder and armed herself with a gun.

Between Neal, Sara, and Peter, they quickly devise a plan to make it appear that Sara has been killed. Then, Sara hides in the FBI building, while Peter and the other agents investigate the case.

Eventually, Neal and Sara come to somewhat reconcile their initial dislike of each other, and Peter successfully solves the problem of the situation, so Sara is able to return to her daily life.
Reviewing “Unfinished Business”

One Tree Hill fans may have been surprised to see Hilarie Burton as a smooth-haired brunette, rather than a curly-top blonde, and Burton successfully played a noteciably different sort of character from One Tree Hill’s Peyton Sawyer.

Burton contributed well to the impressive strength of the regular weekly cast, including Tim DeKay, Matt Bomer, Tiffani Thiessen, Sharif Atkins, Marsha Thomason, and Willie Garson. Burton would be a welcome and useful recurring character.

The episode lived up to the high standard of the series. It was entertaining and well done.

The episode should also be noted for capturing, even more than usual, the summer atmosphere and feeling of New York City.

A beautiful and talented young woman, Peyton @ Hilarie Burton was the girlfriend of Ravens basketball team captain, Nathan Scott. However, the two broke up when she realized that their relationship was more of the benefits than the love. She then developed feelings for Nathan's older half-brother, Lucas, who was likewise attracted to her. However, after he confessed his feelings for her, she became scared and ran away from him.

After realizing her mistakes, she returned to him, but this time Lucas was seeing Brooke. Upon Peyton's return, Lucas agreed to see her behind Brooke's back.
