Sorry, Peyton fans - Hilarie Burton has confirmed that she won't be returning to "One Tree Hill" to revive the character for Brooke's wedding or for the season finale (which will likely be the series finale).
Burton, who is currently on "White Collar," which shoots in New York, says she doesn't really have room in her life for a trip to North Carolina. "Unfortunately it gets to a point where your personal life doesn't necessarily allow a whole lot of room anymore for just jumping on a plane and going wherever," she said on a press conference call for "White Collar."
Burton stresses that there's no bad blood between her and the "One Tree Hill" cast and crew. "I have such a fondness for that period in my life, and I love all the people there," she says. "So while that's a place that I love and it's an experience in my life that I really love, I don't think that it's going to work out, and I still communicate with everybody back there. And I love them as a whole, but no I don't think it's going to work out. I'm sorry."
